Probably bad juju from cutting up that jersey that one time.
Saw him pitch for the white Sox at wrigley vs the Cubs his first start after the suspension for that. They had a ton of Cubs fans wearing cut up jerseys at that game.

He’s been done about 3 years now

His K/9 suggests he still has some great stuff to get hitters out.
The problem is command. When you can’t command 93, you’re gonna eventually get hit. Used to get away with it at 97-98.
But that doesn’t mean he can’t be a decent 4/5 starter or even a pretty good bullpen piece.

He pitched a great game last night. Almost looked like the Chris Sale of old. His velocity is still down, but he was locating pitches extremely well.

Update:
Over his last 32 innings Sale has 35 Ks to 4 walks, with an ERA of 2.23 and a 0.74 WHIP.
We would be hard pressed to find a better performing pitcher in MLB over the past month.

I picked him up in fantasy a few weeks ago. Been a great ride.

I know it’s been incredible. He had another great start last night against the Diamondbacks despite pitching while battling some sort of sickness. Cora pulled him at 73 pitches because of it.
Oh wait I haven’t been following the thread. I see you’ve chosen this thread as your personal project for the season
Please keep updating with Sale/Redsox news.
