Even though people keep reading this as some sort of indictment of Chris Paul, its not
I think it's more an indictment of his teammates. Inflated or not the assist number shows he's willing to pass, his teammates need to be more willing to get open instead of standing around so much. It'd also help if they wouldn't miss so many shots. If I were CP3 Songaila and Okafor are about the only guys I'd feel comfortable passing to. I just looked at the stats and I realize the Hornets were a brick factory before Scott got fired but Holy Hell these FG% numbers are bad. Most are at or below 40%

Except they were doing exactly that prior to his return to the lineup. Causation =/= Correlation, but the 1st team looks like it regressed, while the bench seems to be playing as well as it was while he was injured. But, like I said, I don't necessarily think it is CP3, I think Bower needs to shake-up the starting lineup, and they need to stop relying on DW to be the 1st or 2nd option, because he's simply not getting it done right now.
It hurts to watch them run that same halfcourt offense where CP3 dribbles down, West runs a screen, and they just dump it to him in the post and he shoots a fade while everyone else watches. It is so forced and awkward. He needs to stop trying to post and drive (because he is below average at both) and just be who he is and shoot those jumpers.
