Chris Paul has agreed to a deal with the San Antonio Spurs after his Sunday release by the Golden State Warriors, according to multiple reports.
The contract is for one year and $11 million-plus, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Golden State waived Paul ahead of a Sunday deadline that would have guaranteed his contract for $30 million next season. The Warriors reportedly sought trade suitors for Paul ahead of Sunday's deadline and released him after failing to secure a partner. Now Paul is joining the Spurs.

He is washed but maybe he'll be worth it for vet leadership

I like this move for SA. They had zero PG last year. Time for CP3 to be a mentor.

what is this like his 7th team?... and it's not like he's some bum, journeyman player. he's a future Hall of Famer who chose to bounce around from team to team chasing a super-team championship because he wasn't good enough to be the guy when it mattered.
anyone remember when he kept deferring the ball to Jannero Pargo in the Western Conference playoffs circa 2008 instead of closing out the game for the Hornets?
there's no honor or integrity left in the NBA these days,

CP3 gets paid, gets to be a veteran leader for a young team and if he’s playing decent at the deadline spurs can move him to a contender for assets
