Watching the Cubs on MLB ticket when we they were playing the Pirates a few weeks back and the Pirates announcers said Strop had the second lowest ERA of any Cub ever. I could not find anything to corroborate that and not sure in what context it was?

Hayward does this. After this hot streak ends he'll bat .200 the rest of the season.

I don't recall a sustained streak as hot as this for Heyward as a Cub. I know he got out the gate last year hitting well, but he's really getting key hits at key times and hitting with more pop than I can ever remember as a Cub. This seems different. I hope he can sustain it.

As for Russell, he's never hit over .242 as a Cub. The trade talks seem to have motivated him.

Heyward has been raking since May 1st, id call this a bit longer than a “hot streak”.

Well when he's batting .200 in a month we'll have this conversation again.

Man, I gotta wait till Aug. 2. I don't think I'm gonna make it. May have to sneak another quick weekend in July.
