upset somebody (thinking the game vs. UCLA).

Isn't this their 1st or 2nd game? I highly doubt that occurs...

Well, how good is UCLA really? I know they supposedly return a lot, but Texas has the talent to make it a game.

Well, we beat them last year so I guess not that great...

They're the Pac-12 South favorites so I'd be surprised to see them go down so early. Their QB should be pretty prepped (could've been the #1-5 pick even though still pretty raw). I don't really see too much fault in their team barring injuries. I'm hoping an absolutely, defensively depleted ASU beats them at renovated Sun Devil Stadium though.

EDIT: I could see Texas sticking to them just because of all the talent they have on the field though. I'd say 80:20 odds on UCLA winning.

certainly won't kill me to see ut fail, but this was interesting ... from a usatoday article:

DALLAS — The meetings lasted less than 10 minutes. When a player entered the head coach's office, Charlie Strong had two questions:

"Is this the best you can play? And is this the best I should expect every game?"

Then he pressed play. A brief lowlight reel unfolded: Ten plays, or maybe 15, culled from last season and tailored to each player's performance. When the action on the screen ended, so did the meeting.

"I'd just say, 'If this is you, let me know,' " Strong says. "They'd walk out of the room with their head down."

Yep. Didn't realize how bad the entitlement issues were, but glad he is addressing them. That needs a change

There are rumors that this was their 5th failed test. If that's true does it change anyone's mind on Charlie Strong's house cleaning?

They mentioned, that he is abrasive, and the Oil barrons who pump money into Tejas like to feel special, and they feel if he struggles in first couple of years, it could get ugly.

His attitude vs loud mouth boosters+ losing=ugly

But, if it works, and kids buy in, he could make Tejas a playoff team yearly.

Can't tell y'all how refreshing this is for Texas fans. I always liked Bergeron on the field. That sucks but he must be a major bonehead.

The program had turned into the cowboys. Mediocrity and entitlement.
