I'm still utterly confused about the Champions Bowl and it's integration with the 4-team playoff. I'm also not sure this is even going to matter since the Big12 and SEC champions will be in the 4-team playoff every year regardless.
Regardless, IMO every huge game should be played in New Orleans. Cowboys Stadium is nice and all, but nothing compares to the atmosphere and proximity in New Orleans for a huge college matchup. All the fans are crammed into a small area and get to interact, not to mention the city itself is awesome in itself.
Aside from the Champions Bowl talk, If the "Sugar Bowl" is not part of the 4-team playoff (and championship game) rotation, I am going to be pissed.

The game will take place on New Year’s Day (Jan 1st)
ESPN will reportedly pay $80 million a year to broadcast the Champions Bowl
NVM, thought we were talking about the BCS Champ game.
Also, I hate that ESPN doesn't show this on ABC. Seems un-American.

New Orleans is a dump. OOOOO you can get drunk in the French Quarter. Guess what? You can get drunk anywhere! Cowboys Stadium + Arlington >>>>>>>>>>>> ShitDome + Nawlins.
If y'all ever make a Sugar Bowl, you'll understand why this is false. New Orleans is an awesome College Football city. Dallas, not so much.

I think this has zero chance of happening. It's been said the sugar bowl has been saving $$ specifically to bid on a college football playoff. Plus, NOLA just does these events right.
I don't think the Champions Bowl is going to be a part of the playoff. Which is confusing because the game will be on Jan 1, which would be the same time as the semifinal playoff games. So, it would make sense that whichever city gets the Champions Bowl won't host a semifinal.

It's going to go to Arlington just so y'all know. Better stadium, better city, and better people.
