He dropped it and then his foot didn't contact it until the ball was already on the ground. It was a dribbler that hit a player, bounced backwards, and then he batted it out of the back of the end zone for a safety.

I've never been a punter (coaches always told me I was too talented to be wasted there) but that seems like it's not what you are supposed to do
