In gridiron football, spearing is an illegal tackling technique in which a player makes initial contact with the crown of their helmet by using their body as a spear (head out, arms by their side). An offensive player or a defensive player can be penalized for spear tackling. Spearing from an offensive player will result in a 15-yard penalty, and spearing from a defensive player will also result in an automatic first-down for the offense.
I don't think there's ever been any other definition for it.

Why can’t black players stop shooting their guns on the field?

VT stomping Stanford 28-7 with 3 minutes left in the game.

Spearing as a rule was leading and making contact with your helmet. Prior to 2005, it required intent to be called. They dropped intent in 2005 and then the targeting rules were created that basically addressed spearing too.
Just don’t like it

I wasn’t talking about the legal definition of spearing
But using the(my) playground definition the guy ran up and speared(drove the point of his shoulder through a uh, standing there WR’s neck/temple and sent him to another galaxy.
It was called targeting on the field.
I think more often than not it is upheld as targeting.

I want that to be a good game so bad. Been playing snooker with my mates and other than Everton/Newcastle, I haven’t seen any games outside of the Vandy game.
I would love to end the night with a solid SEC game.
