That's the key. I treat it like as if I played golf but actually stand the chance to make money. If I spent $500 year on playing golf (equipment, green fees, etc), then no one would bat an eye and it would be considered a healthy hobby. I look at sports gambling the same way. I won't lose more than $500 in a year in actually often come out with profit. It gives me an investment in the sport and the games. I have a reason to research shite throughout the week and watch it come to frution or go down in flames on the weekend. Usually a little of both.
