I've always thought it was kinda stupid I said it a couple posts ago for the first time actually 
I think it's just a way for people not to brag about what they bet and for people to not feel stupid for betting low amounts.
I really need to start raising my number I'm 17-5-1 this year. 3 loses are from NFL and I just bet NFL to pass time and have a reason to watch

just signed up.
i will get the hang of it eventually, but as of now, just putting 20 on UGA straight up.

where did you go to learn the lingo of bets/ how to bet?
i'm assuming most people parlay because that would make the most money on gameday? no?

here some, a couple of my friends are gamblers like me. Lingo just comes from doing it
I just consider myself very strong in knowing College. watch alot of games of alot of different teams and think Im a good judge of how teams will preform.
How to bet: its making strong educated guessing with alot of luck on your side
got to go into it know your gonna have great weeks and terrible weaks. catch unbelievable lucky breaks and catch the worst break in the world
Im no professional gambler by any means, just a college kid that loves sports and tries to put some spending money in my pocket. make it so i dont have to get a job during football season

Parlays alot of times is pissing money away. there is a high reward but its also really hard to get 2,3,4 (whatever ur parlay is) all right
I sometimes do a small parlay just for fun because when you hit it, its really exciting.
payouts for parlays are normally 2 team 2.6:1, 3 team 6:1 4 team like 12:1

You can bet straight up but have to bet more money.
like say LSU -6 vs WV. u can bet lsu with the points are bet the money line which will be like -165 mean you bet 165 to win 100 on LSU to win straight up. dont have to bet that much its just the ratio. it can be 16.5 dollars to win 10

Whoops I meant like single spread bets not straight up. I bet the spread for UGA too.

you can parlay money lines but i dont know how the payout works for those.

my weekend parlay is leaning towards
Oregon
Texas tech
FSU
20 to win 120
alittle tip in parlays, its always nice to have one game that doesnt start until after the other 2 finish so if you win both you have the option to bet the other team in the final game to guarantee you come out winning money even if your team in the parlay loses and ruins that parlay bet

got to get all three games right
Id say my parlay success rate is maybe like 25% (rough estimate) but this year im picking at 75%
the object of sports betting is to win 1 more game then you lose. not going to win every game. they say the avg gambler picks at 50% as hole. there are hot streaks and cold streaks but if you keep making the smart bets is averages out to around 50%

thats a question for TigerTatorTots. i dont bet on Oddsmaker i have a guy i go through
i will see if i can search posts real quick and find it for you and post it here in a few mins
keep an eye on this thread especially towards thursday or friday and see how everything goes down, some very good constructive converstations will go on and be very helpful to you to see how we go through games to arrive at the picks we get (doesnt mean they are right)
