the kid didn't have an LSU offer. If he wasn't Tommy Moffitt's kid he probably wouldn't even be on LSU's radar for football

Given his family connections it would be down right dumb to give him a spot in a LOADED class for LSU. The numbers are going to be tight this year and a lot of guys get a lot of different types of "offers" but only a few are immediately commitable (ask the DB from evangel about this). He could easily walk on if he wants to play football for LSU as a preferred player.
Regardless the funniest thing about this is that guy thinks this has something to do with my "hated for catholic". I wasnt even thinking about that and none of my posts have anything to do with that. Why would i hate Catholic? We own those guys

Just called my son to try and get a better explanation of the scholarship situation. His response was that Clay had definitely been offered, and reason it wasn't on any recruiting boards is that Clay hadn't committed to them yet, because he is also being recruited to play baseball and hasn't made up his mind which sport he would pursue. I think decision just got made for him, sadly

Hate to let you down, but the recruiting services don't have all the info. Clay was offered. If that hurts your feeling because you pay for some goofy recruiting service, that's too bad.

I'm just telling you what was told to me from my son, and he has no reason to lie about it. Sad thing about this thread is you chose to basically call the kid and his entire family, and my son liars and showed little if any remorse over Clay's injury...pathetic
