Actually, to my knowledge -- and, granted, I didn't see all the games -- he didn't throw a pick-six, so the comparison has yet to be fleshed out fully.

Oh, and I called someone out earlier about Coach Garidel leaving, saying that I hadn't heard anything about that (and intending to imply it wasn't true). I found out today that he is in fact leaving, and I want to say it's Zachary High he's headed to. That said, I don't expect his departure = arse-kicking; Coach Garidel was a very good defensive coordinator, but I'm certain someone's waiting in the wings to replace him and I'm certain he'll do a good job.

Just for the record, no, I'm not on the football team. I got my info on that situation *from* a football player, but I'm not on the team.

Man, don't call out a high school kid. It is much harder to be a High School player, much less a QB, than many think. If your team struggles in the running game, the pressure shifts to you, and at many schools, you are throwing into defenses with superior athletes to what you have. If you haven't thrown picks, you haven't been a QB

the oliver kid is going to be a bigtime player. i'm nowhere near a catholic high fan but that kid seems to play with heart and he has the frame and the arm.

If I had to guess, that coach would probably be coach Martin.

What a Laugh. Denham Springs dude claiming resounding victory last year. 1st time in? 20 years?

Plus, you should have lost that game, many times over.

You must be proud of your team, shake hands, then during your alma mater, our team stood respectfully still, then during the CHS alma mater, your whole team acted like a bunch of idiots - jumping around, screaming, looked like a bunch of wild animals.

I guess that goes to show you..... trash is always trash...

If we take the average CHS (BR) alum's opinion this team will rival The Steel Curtain Pittsburgh teams.

I was thinking more along the lines of the '72 Dolphins.

I think it may be a saturday game from what they are sying because a friday game would be almost logistically impossible and I cant wait to get down there and rent a condo for the weekend

And Catholic will be much better than last year because we are only losing a few offensive linemen and our whole junior class which was most of the starters is coming back. And Zach Oliver has the arm and skills to be a D1 prospect it all depends on how he develops over the off season
