Hey if Barrett wants to transfer with Braxton I'd be cool with that. QB on lock for the next 2 years...

he's very impressive at the podium. i'm fairly shocked that those "words" came from him seeing this presser.

J.T. Barrett might have something to say about that.

I mean, yeah.

But I just feel like there's no way he can't play. At least not some.

He's talked about the tweet and the origin. He had just taken like a sociology test and didn't think he had done well so he was pissed off.

I think he ended up getting a B.

He was in Cleveland because he has a 2 month old daughter who lives there

This is a terrible decision honestly. He's 6'5" 250 with a great arm and speed.

Now he has to beat out JT Barret just to start next season which seems unlikely. Instead of being the hottest enigma to ever hit the NFL combine where he will no doubt put up great physical numbers, he's going to be relegated to a backup role, exposed to more injuries and miss out on a million dollars this year.

Playing an extra year of college doesn't mean you get to play an extra year in the NFL it just means you absorb another year of physical punishment before getting paid for it.

The only way this works out for him financially if he propels himself to a top 10 pick in the draft which is more than likely only about a 5% possibility.

Had the perfect opportunity to take the money and run and instead fell for bad advice (so he'll be a perfect fit in the NFL).

Pretty impressive in this day and age

So with all the talent in Columbus, Ohio State doesn't have a single player leaving early for the draft. Impressive.

The dude just won the NC...I have to assume he's won the job.

If he really wants to get his degree then I am happy for him. His draft grade probably won't improve a lot next year unless he's the starter so it's a lot to gamble on. Plus the QB class is weak this year I really think he would have sneaked into the 1st round like Bridgewater last year.

I am not watching ESPN today.

I did watch some ESPN after the National Championship game and it was as if they ALL had an agenda to keep Jones at OSU.. And why he should stay.. Every single one of them.. Much like all of the agenda's ESPN pushes.

Are they now backtracking?

I don't think JT Barrett should transfer at all. He started over Jones and can again.. what will happen when Jones is behind the depth chart the remainder of his career? I just don't see why he wouldn't seize this opportunity. If I am OSU, I would absolutely start a healthy Barrett even over Cardale (who may be a better pro prospect)

It will be very interesting to see who their starter is.

Pretty easy to go back to school after you leave the NFL. An extra year making 1,000,000 or a free 20,000 scholarship?

Everyone knows NFL teams love to draft based on upside, I don't see how an extra year of the spread offense in the big 10 is going to drastically improve his draft stock.

He only got the job due to injury. Meyer's going to give Barrett every opportunity to win the job. He's Meyer's guy.

This is a huge mistake. Jones could easily be a forgotten man by this time next year.

Ohio St won the NC. JT Barrett still puts up better stats in their offense.

I know, hard to believe.. but he does

Don't know what that means, but if I'm the coach, I stick with what won me the NC. Just my opinion.

So did Brady (and no I'm not saying he's Brady), so it happens.
