So, we're all agreeing but arguing anyway?
BTW, I think the 15-14 result in bowls makes sense to use as it coincides with the BCS (modern) bowl era.

Also keep this in mind (from a paper here in PA:)
quote:
If you look at the stats in all three bowl games yesterday and add up the first downs, you will see that Northwestern, Penn State and Ohio State combined for 80 first downs while holding their opponents to a combined total of 39 first downs. That -- more than going 2-and-1 -- shows a dominating performance.

OK you win, the talent at OSU sucks.![]()
I'm not saying it sucked. But relatively speaking, compared to both other OSU teams in the decade and the LSU team we played that year in the NCG, no, our talent wasn't up to par.
Our 02, 03, 05, 06, and maybe even 09 (time will tell on that one) teams all had more talent than 07.

And I agree with that but yall are making it sound like the talent gap was so large that coaching didn't matter. Go read the first few posts after my first post.
The talent gap wasn't "so large", but it was large enough where our superior coaching wasn't enough to overcome (and FWIW, I, nor do most Buckeye fans, think Tress is a great gameday coach, or even good, really, he's just better than Miles. And you did have Bo, too, so that helped out you guys, a little).
