The Panthers. I wasnt comparing him to Cutler necessarily, just asking if Carolina fans would be comfortable giving him that type of a deal considering next year is the last on his current deal.

Yeah not sure how Panthers fans feel about it. Most I know like Cam a lot. My guess is that they don't have a problem with the money in theory, but given the needs, clearly locking up your QB with very few supporting pieces hasn't fully worked to this point.

His numbers have gone down pretty much everywhere. I've seen him mature some on his decision making though, I'll say that. A lot of that can be in large part of him having a defense that'll keep most games close, making him able to manage games more. But for this guy to compare Newton to Brees, it's beyond retarded. It's Leo from what's eating Gilbert grape level retardation.

Brees is a lock for first ballot hall of famer, Super Bowl champion/MVP. He's also a fantastic person, and a great leader.

Let's see cam have a career like Brees. Maybe he will, but I highly doubt it.

Brees played in ONE game his rookie year, not even as a starter.

Sorry he wasn't good enough. Cam smashed all rookie QB records and went to the Pro Bowl his rookie year.

Sometimes I almost feel bad for Louisiana sports fans because of the abortion they have to watch

Then there are threads like this

He's pretty good and getting better.

He just came off a broken back. Not bad considering he missed time playing and practicing.

Let's talk about the broken back. Did you see his truck, jacked up so high that a tap made it roll several times? Did you hear him acknowledge that being jacked up more than 2 feet like that was directly related to the rollover?

No.

He did not take any responsibility.

Are you seriously saying this as a Falcons fan?

We have a Super Bowl, the frick do you have? Besides arguably the worst Fanbase in the country.

the camthers are definitely better at not having a Super Bowl title

I don't think Cam will every sniff a Super Bowl, but Saints fans, your one SB is ancient history and getting older by the day. Time to come into this decade.

If Cam goes to Philly, or anywhere besides Carolina for that matter, he will be a much improved QB.

However, I'm not sold on him being anything special. He had Steve Smith and didn't do much. Smith goes to Baltimore and has a career year.

Ah the ol' "we" like you have anything to do with it.

That said, no. Your time is done.

Alos, who the hell is talking about "Matty Ice?"

Right, I guess that would be you.

Cam is in the the top half of the league as far as capability. He is above average. Hard to tell if he is any better than that at Carolina, but he is at least above average. That isn't "shite".

The only people who argue he is worse are those still butthurt over him dragging PP7 into the endzone, the CAMback, "the down that wasn't", or all of the above.

If that team didn't have Thomas Davis and Luke Keuchly they easily go 4-12 at best. Cam has zero pocket presence, especially when it matters. You know how I know this? He couldn't even pass against the Saints 31st ranked passing defense at home... And yeah, they did shred the Saints the second game, but most of that was because of early turnovers and a man by the name of Johnathon Stewart, who is a straight out baller. His read option might work against shitey Saints defenses, but it won't fool disciplined teams like Seattle. To me, he is and always will be a Superscam.

You do realize that a super bowl ring defeats any argument you could possibly make, right?

He's the 2nd best QB in the South and dragged that offense into the playoffs despite taking an absolute beating

Do I find him annoying at times? Yea, but he's terrifying to play against. He's a sure thing when its 3rd and less than 3

Now comparing him to Brees at this point is laughable. Maybe he'll develop into an elite QB, but Brees already made that jump, won a Super Bowl, and is easily a HOFer. Cam had a better start to his career, congrats I guess?

lol he had more yards two out of his three years with Cam.

I don't think you understand what a career year means.
