Folks, you cannot tell from a straight ahead shot if the ball is 3 feet from, even with, or two feet behind the goal post. You've gotta be under (i.e., refs) or maybe to the side.
Either way, this thread has epic potential written all over it.

If the ball disappears, going left to right, behind the right goal post, then yes you can 100% tell from a straight ahead shot that the FG was good.
The next question if we get clear shots of this, why would an official miss that call, which as Tangerine pointed out, you easily can tell the difference from underneath?

yeah, I'll let someone else do this, or get a video of it.
My pictures looked fine on my camera, but did not convert well.
Maybe later

You can't even tell the ball from the goalpost so it looks like it is curving although the ball goes behind it.
Oh well, I'll try to get a vid up later.

FWIW, I did not see the game or kick. But this is gonna be fun. My predection is that someone will recommend sending the MS Paint pics to the NCAA.

Contact the ref and see if he i-phoned it on the way over. We'll get to the bottom of this, Sherlock.

Do you have a bigger resolution picture on your camera? This little 300 by 200 image isn't going to show much. Not sure what kind of camera you're working with.
I thought based on the angle the kick took and how close they were that it snuck through the upright live. I'd like to see picture confirmation either way haha.

It seems the kid was made to kid a yellow-colored human torso. No wonder he missed.
