Reece is terrible at basketball.

She is the epitome of the old WNBA, celebrated for being tall and completely unskilled. Can't dribble, can't pass, can't block shots and sure as hell can't shoot, yet is celebrated as a star.

They have the heart, but they don't have the talent.

She gets maligned a bit because so many people (including herself) have tried to compare her to Clark.

She's still a plus defender. I've seen some aver a great defender, but just number wise, she's top third. Not a prolific shot blocker, but quicker hands than some of the other post players. Her steals are admirable.

She is a ferocious rebounder. She gets flack for rebounding her own misses and padding her stats*, but from the games I've seen, she works really hard at rebounding and does outwork others. IMHO, the real criticism on her rebounding is not as much her own misses, but she scoops rebounds from teammates that would get the rebound uncontested (i.e. "stat stealing")*

The real difficulty she faces right now is that she is not a prolific scorer. That wasn't as big an issue pre-Olympics. The Sky had Mabrey, and their offense was designed to get Mabrey looks. They were still short scorers, but the opposing defenses could key on Mabrey. Now the Sky's offense is barren of real scorers, and she is having to get more contested looks and her FGP is really suffering. She can improve her skill set or get in a system that has more scoring punch. Either would benefit her overall value.

* Clark's postgame was interesting on this point. She got her triple double with a rebound near the end of the game. The crowd erupted for her triple double. She handled the interview well by being honest. She was asked if she knew that got her the triple double, and she said "Of course, I probably stole that rebound from XXXX. We always give each other a hard time for stealing each other's rebounds.

IMHO, Reese hasn't been that bad of a stat stuffer. Nothing on the Ricky Davis level Basketball Network. The game that broke her consecutive double-double strike was kind of bad when she still tried to score when quadruple teamed, but her stats are coming in the flow of the game, even if at the expense of teammates stats or good shooting.

She has been a horrible stat padder. Staying in games that are blowouts when all of the other starters have been pulled.

It's embarrassing. Especially for someone who has legit 20 rebound games. Average forwards can get a double double. 20 rebounds is elite.
