I'll allow it. The refs did no call obvious DPI two plays before that where the DB tackles the WR before the ball got there. The punter pulled it down when he saw the crease. It wasn't a designed play.
BTW, they pulled their starting QB on their 2nd possession of the 2nd half.

No they weren’t. They kept saying how mad he looked on the sidelines afterwards. Even said themselves they thought the punter did it on his own when he saw the opening and how Satake would be mad having to explain it to the other coach.

IIRC, Lou Holtz, when he was at Notre Dame, did the exact same thing to Boston College in 1992 when they were up big at the end of the game, so he could score 50 points.
Boston College and Tom Coughlin were pissed about the fake punt and circled that dame on the calendar. They beat ND the next two years and cost them a NC.

PAC 12 doesn't want BYU. Liberal California schools kept them out during the last round of conference expansion. Due to Mormon Church policies.
