Just walked into the door. What happened to get it to this point? ESPN's game tracker on my phone has been crap.

Leads down to 7 with a minute to go.

ETA: Does the late game hacking away to send shooters to the line ever actually work? I can't recall an instance where it has. It seems to just make the lead grow by giving away high percentage shots and taking low percentage, rushed jumpers.

I think UNC's ceiling is the Sweet 16 this year. There are a lot of parallels with the 2010 NIT team, but the biggest difference is that Marcus Paige is much better at this point than LDII was as a sophomore so they shouldn't struggle as much.

As expected, the other freshmen are nothing special, and we all know how Dexter Strickland and Reggie Bullock love to ride the coattails of their more talented and successful teammates. Now that they are gone, it is unlikely that they'll step up and be stars.

The biggest surprise to me has been how bad McDonald has looked so far.

ETA: This Butler team is not that great. They have almost nothing in common with the two national runner-up squads.
