Bring back the computers

Give auto bids to the P4 champions. Give a couple of auto bids to the top two G5 champs (as determined by the computers). Let the computers fill the at large bids.
There’s no reason to have some fat men sitting in a hotel room watching games on TV. No more lobbying. No more eye tests. Just numbers.
With a 16 team playoff coming, that will be 10 at large bids. I don’t see anyone outside of that realistically being able to win the natty. If you don’t make it .. kick rocks.

i agree.
watching this show and i can only think one thing... this is all so fricking stupid. all of these fricking subjective debates and different data points. no one knows what matters, no one knows what data point to prioritize, every team has a legit argument. Every team just clinging to the one data point that props them up and hoping that a group of fricking imperfect, old, fat humans agree with it.

Yep, with all the AI technology now, it’s all numerical parameters anyway. Should be a cinch.

This was the exact reason the BCS was created, to take human bias out of the equation for the rankings. Until ESPN didn’t get the matchups they wanted. Then the argument shifted to “the eye test” that computer can’t provide. Taking us back to human bias.
With the playoffs, I wish they would return to the ORIGINAL BCS computer formula, where SoS mattered. Have the computers spit out the Top 12/16 (No More).
