What if the Houston rockets traded Sampson for the second or third pick in the 84 draft.
Pick the dream and mj in the same draft.
Not gonna lie, this is what I thought of before I even clicked on this thread. Or if Portland would have picked MJ at 2 instead of Sam Bowie.

Portland fricking sucks at life. Passed on Jordan and Durant. Both of those situations are so similar.

What if Drew Brees signed with the Dolphins? Would Saban have stayed in Miami?

what if bo jackson doesn't get hurt and plays for 7 more years. does he go down as the all time greatest?

Definitely. Thinking about "what if" Greg Oden & Brandon Roy had stayed healthy makes me want to
frick that...them drafting oden instead of durant, healthy or not, should make you

Drafting Oden was so dumb. Not because he got hurt, but at the very moment it happened.

Again, this would never have happened. The Bulls were pissed off they couldn't get a big man and grudgingly settled for Jordan.

Yea it was a stupid pick for sure. But if you look at their team and who was on it, Oden made a hell of a lot of sense. And if he was healthy, thats a near perfect team on paper. You would have Oden at the 5, LA at the 4, Wallace at the 3, probably Andre Miller at the 2, and they would've kept Rudy Fernandez at the 1. Thats a team that might've beat the Mavs last year.
Edit: Actually put Brandon Roy at the 2. Forgot about him.

here's a couple I thought of:
What if the Colts take Leaf instead of Manning? I heard manning say once that it was a tougher decision than people realize.
What if cammy cam never leaves Florida? I'd bet Urban is still there...
What if LSU plays USC for it all in '03?
Posted on 4/19/12 at 11:29 am to DrVinnyBoombatz
i was against drafting him to begin with..even if he is healthy, he's a healthy 60 year old.

Oh, no I totally agree with you that there were major red flags when you looked at Oden. They probably didn't think he'd ever not play more then a quarter season, but when you look at his frame, how he played the position, and his overall ability, it really wasn't an out there pick. What made it a bad pick was the fact that Oden never played. But if he never got injured, well they have a dominant center at a time when that is rare.

What if the ref doesn't throw the flag in the 02 BCSCG? Would Miami still be a power until recent NCAA sanctions?
What if the refs keep the flag for Auburn pi in 06? Does lsu score a TD and win it? Miss the fg? Make the fg? Who wins in OT? Who wins the rematch in the SECCG between UF and LSU and goes to the BCSCG? (assuming every other game plays out the same)

More then likely Larry Coker would've been kept even longer and Miami would be in worse shape then they were in before/during Randy Shannon. Also, Coker would've been fired right around the time everything was starting to leak about Miami and the NCAA would've pushed harder to get answers and maybe Coker is more willing to talk for fear of punishment.

the first thing I thought of was Len Bias...lol Glenn
It would have certainly allowed Bird to play a few more years and the Celtics likely would have won at least 1-2 more titles.

What if Monica Seles didn't get stabbed by that German maniac, Gunter Parche?

I got a current event one. What if Bobby Petrino doesn't bang those whores? How would his career had played out?
