Political activism blinds every action these idiots are taking and I'm loving it.

I still stand by he's only doing what everyone else told him to do.
He may very well be in favor of it, too, but if the 14 chancellors, or at least a majority of them, suggested to him to have a season, we'd have a B1G season.
You say Ohio State wants to play is you mean the athletic department wants to play.
The chancellor is willing to take it down to avoid litigation and to appear on the "We care" side.

You're right. He's definitely doing what he's being told to do. And yes when I say OSU wants to play I'm referring to athletic dept, coaches, and players. As I've previously stated, the Academics in Administration at OSU and other BIG TEN schools hate that their universities are known more for football than academics and they are trying to show where there focus is. This will be the end of the Big Ten as we know it.

threat of major lawsuits is the #1 reason for cancellation

Maybe I am ignorant, but can a waiver be used to where those that choose to play cannot sue? That way, a player or staff member can choose to not sign it,, sit out and save a year on eligibility, etc.

I think that is the way to go, but the Big Ten United statement said they don't want that. I know some people have said this was about union busting. I'm not sure I would go that far, but I do think schools and conferences looked at everything the players were demanding and just said "we can't meet that, it's easier to cancel."

From what I’ve gathered, there was not uniformity among the league about how to prepare for the season. Nebraska/Iowa/OSU/ and it sounds like probably Michigan all implemented very strict programs 2 months ago to make sure it was safe to play, and other schools were way more lackadaisical. That’s why Iowa and Ohio State players/parents/admins have become more critical of the B10 the past few days.

The B10 had 5 months to come up with protocols, plans, and contingencies, and they apparently came up with nothing other than “Maybe we’ll try spring football. But probably not”. Total failure by the B10 leadership.

This parallels the exact same mindset that my local public school district displayed a few weeks ago. It was a mixed bag without a clear plan.Infuriating as a parent.
