Good call, Terry. Although looking at the H2H, JMac giving it right back in five in NYC after the epic Wimbledon '80 match was better than Wimbledon the next year and their turning point.

There has to be some Lakers/Celts in here. '84 and '85?

Would have been a great rematch...if the Lakers hadn't choked against the Rockets.

After the Lakers finally broke through in 1985...the next year would have been epic.

1986 - who didn't want to see Magic face supposedly the GOAT NBA team of all-time after splitting 1-1 with Bird?

And 1987 wasn't really a contest because that wasn't the same healthy Celtics team from 1981-1986.

Bird had a small window...McHale was a hobbled mess.

If the Lakers hadn't choked against the Rockets in '86...

1984 - 1987 would have been epic. And probably would have ended perfectly as 2-2.
