Has anyone played Stonebridge, English Turn, or Lakewood lately?

Looking to expand my NOLA golf horizons, TIA.

I've played Stone Bridge, Timberlane, and Lakewood but not English Turn.

Lakewood is by far the best of the 3 I've played. Problem with a Lakewood is every time I've gone, it has been pretty crowded.

Stonebridge would be next and it has 3 9 hole sections. It usually has pretty cheap deals even on weekends. The layout from hole to hole was a little strange though .

Timberlane is the worst of the 3. Course was not very good for the money and the fairways were very narrow at parts with houses lining each side.

Thanks for the info.

Want to try Lakewood, but their prime season weekend rate is insane, will probably have to do a twilight.

Stonebridge seems reasonable for a weekend ($40/45 or so).

English Turn - I remember going there for the old New Orleans PGA events, but it clearly went to shite and now it's trying to come back.

I've played Timberlane in high school for regional tournaments, always meh

They sodded?

Yep, big squares put in the bad spots. Mostly on the edges of the greens but very noticeable. Haven't been there in about 2 or 3 months but have heard greens are still not quite right. I was told they also had an irrigation issue with salt getting into the supply somehow.

Admin was warned of the condition months ago but he's bull-headed. Send him an email with your concerns.

I played Lakewood a couple of weeks ago. Great shape.

I'm playing English Turn on Monday for a charity event.

How many times have you seen me say that I'll never play that course again? Hell, I just said it last night in our golf thread.

The only course I can even compare it to is that shithole 9 hole track in Ethel (Magnolia Creek?), except this place charges three times as much.

frick. I'm mad just thinking about that fricking place. It needs to be pissed on.
