Sounds confusing as hell. I know we're in if TCU, WVU, and OSU all lose and we win. It would be a tie with us and TCU and we have the h2h.

Any three-team tie with Iowa State involved. If West Virginia is the third team, the Mountaineers win the tiebreaker (win over Oklahoma, head-to-head with Iowa State). Iowa State wins in any other scenario (win over Oklahoma).
So we need a 2 way tie or a 3 way tie with TCU and OSU.
But yours is different. I'm confused.

basically West viginia's only path is to find itself in a three way tie with TCU and ISU.
First tie-breaker would be h2h between the three of them, which would be 1-1 1-1 1-1, so tehn you see how they did against the best team in the league, that would drop TCU. So now left with West Virginia and ISU, which West virginia won h2h.

Yep, but if it's TCU and OSU and us, we have wins over Oklahoma and TCU, TCU beat OSU, and OSU beat us. That would get us in, right?

right, in that case 1-1 for all teams after the first tiebreaker, then comparison against OU gets you in.
