The Bauer suspension is bullshite and this would be too. If they do decide to really drop the hammer on Watson though, I could see it stretching into 2023 because the league is supposedly reallllllly mad about the way that contract was structured.

If he sits they can fine him so they don't have to pay his full salary. I'm sure if a trade partner isn't realized they will just cut him.
Falcons and Seahawks seem content to wait till next year.
Tampa should make the trade, let him sit behind and learn from Brady and then you have a replacement.

I think his ego is way too big to let him quietly accept a backup job. He might have to eventually, but not yet.
