When the entire team is near the goal line they could have easily lined up in 4-5 seconds. They got screwed.

That's hilarious

Of course

Not gonna lie, I was going to be a tad salty that Stafford threw 2 INTs on the last drive but was still going to get a comeback win there.

And if you give them another play then no one in the world would NOT think ATL was fricked over on a dumb rule, at least no one thinking logically.

I dont disagree that giving the Lions the ball stopped with 8 seconds wouldve been idiotic

Couldn't Detroit run up and snap the ball with that 10 seconds?

I'm not exactly sure what happened, btw.

Unless I'm missing something you said the way it happened was dumb but the reverse would have been idiotic?

So what should have happened?

Absolutely no chance, none.

It was 8 seconds, and there's zero chance they could have gotten everyone set to run another play.

Every offensive player is already close to or at the line of scrimmage when the play ends. They had 8 seconds. Not that hard to see how they could get one more snap off. I don't get how that's so crazy.

Tate was short though for sure.

Why can't both of those scenarios be dumb?

My biggest gripe is the obvious PI/Holding.

I'm not trying to invent solutions over here though

It's not possible, it's just not.

I'm certain you've never seen it happen.

And it would have also been :05 or so because the WR who caught the ball would not have been able to get back, it would have taken him almost the full :08 jsut to realize it wasn't a TD.
