Don't take the bait.
Anyway, it's maddening how many times we've gotten the lead off guy on this series only to score nothing, and a lot of times, not even move him over.

I hope the team rallies this weekend, but this has been such a lifeless route, I’m not even upset.

It's disheartening for sure. I was worried heading into the postseason with how shite we looked in the Marlins series, but thought maybe a week off would cure it.
Unfortunately nope.
Offense has been in a fog for the better part of September outside of the Mets series. Our superb pitching bailed them out though. Unfortunately, Fried laid an egg and Strider got hurt at the worst possible time.

Chavez can also throw 30 pitches tonight and still be fine to throw an inning or 2 tomorrow.

Not that this actually matters beyond just a pretty crazy stat, but we have lost 5 straight series that have gone the distance (2020 NLCS v Dodgers, 2019 NLDS v Cardinals, 2004 NLDS v Astros, 2003 NLDS v Cubs, 2002 NLDS v Giants).
Last time we won a deciding game in a series was the 1996 NLCS against the Cardinals, so if we come back and win this series, it would be a bit of history.
