the Astros radio network reaches into Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, etc. so people in Louisiana get to hear them. As well as the local FSNs play the Astros

its a pretty simple reason.
Closest.
Can watch all games on tv or listen to all games on radio (or at least used to)
Zephyrs were the minor league team for the Astros so lots of NO fans as well
same reason there are so many Braves fans (TBS) and Cubs fans (WGN). its all about exposure
