Same thing happened to East Ascension's coach last year. What's wrong with kids being these days? I don't understand how you can't take a good arse chewing and just swallow it and move on.

First let me commend Mr Zane Jacob for having the courage to stand up for his coach and his beliefs and not succumb to peer pressure and bullying tactics. Since Coach Lemons name is out there however, it only seems fair that we should identify some of those involved in Zane's letter. The mother/'counselor' is Suzette Bowen and her husband that argued with Zane was Todd Bowen. The other mother who called on the phone and was instructed to get quotes from the ones at her house was Charmaine Elisar. Of course the principle was Mia Edwards. I won't list the other players there by name at this time but I am sure Zane would be happy to let you know. The inmates are officially running the asylum.

My son plays ball at St. Amant and the claims of abuse are BS. The only abuse done was by the parents trying to convice these kids they were abused and that mother who is a counselor should have her license revoked. She and her husband did more harm to Zane Jacob than Coach Lemons ever did. He even stated so in his letter. That is one courageous young man and it's too bad that the rest of these players and parents don't have half the integrity and class that young man does. If anyone wants to think what Coach Lemons said in his speeches was abusive I suggest they take a trip over to the girls softball field once in while or perhaps the St. Amant football locker room. Of course, the previous comment is correct. His winning streak was not going as well as the softball team or the football team. A coach can only do so much to get a win, it's up to the players as well. if all you can think about is yourself and your own selfish interests you will never win as a team. I noticed Mia Edwards and Coach Oliver was there yesterday supporting the team or perhaps to turn away the media and protect Mr. Bowen. There were plenty of rumors flying around that someone was going to do harm to him after the game. It's a shame that I never saw them once this year give Coach Lemons that same support or to show any support for the team. I wonder what would have happened if Coach Lemons would have been given the chance Mr. Bowen was to be told of what was going on and to get some back up in his corner before he was ambushed by this administration after the game. I guess we'll never know. As far as the previous comment about him resigning because he was guilty, You have really got to be kidding. The man was left with no choice. Resign or be fired. When you threaten a man's career and his lively hood what kind of a choice is that. Had Mia Edwards and Coach Oliver had his back like they did Mr. Bowen's yesterday it would have been a whole different outcome.
