He won with a QB and unknown on Sunday against Jesuit. Pretty Impressive. No one can do that. Not even Jart Tart Retard. Got to finals one year with no pitching staff. lost on a HR by the best player in the state. Duhe was real good topped out at 83-85 mph. Won state first 3 years with good to average pitching. Dude is a winner and those parents who did that to him know that.

This Jart guy is an idiot. Why throw stuff out there that is completely false? Everyone knows that the stud of that '04 team was David Starkey, and he got the W in the title game after Brian Babin threw 5 or 6.

Before going to St. Amant, Lemons was the head baseball coach and assistant football coach at Franklin High back in the late '80's. As someone who played both sports there at the time, I can attest to Coach Lemons being very fair and reasonable, even when he was tough on the players. He chewed me out a few times, and they were well deserved, especially one time I shook off his pitch calling and gave up a home run on the next pitch.
As someone who knew him before he went to St. Amant, it came as no suprise to me to see him become so successful, because it was obvious he was a good baseball coach.

That's the gist of it.... I've heard Lemons wasn't the best with getting kids recruited at times, but I'm just a neighbor of the school... frick STA IMO.

Drew: The problem is, back in those days, all coaches were pretty much like a lot of the claims here describe. Old school coaches were hard asses and the good ones knew how to play mind games. The good ones made you scared to lose. Today, kids and parents think it is torture to do that to kids now. I'm around HS sports a good deal these days and some of the things I hear kids tell coaches make me flinch knowing the kind of reaction I would have gotten from my coaches.

Bob Lemons was my manager and he once called me a talking pile of pig shite and that was after my parents drove down from Michigan to see me play the game.

i threw a 4 hit gem against st. amant in 2005 when they were 5A defending champs in the tournament at segnette... we were only a 3A school... huge win for us...
