No way once he goes to the combine and they measure him. Name the last 5’9” QB drafted in the first round to play QB.

He's a guaranteed first. You know how many dumb GMs there are in the NFL? The kid can ball out even if he is 5'10. The Jags or Giants would easily draft him.

Lamar Jackson(32nd pick) got 7Mil for his first yr. I imagine that's with the sign on bonus.

That's more than KM 4-5yr contract.

The obsession with his height is laughable. The only issue is whether he has enough muscle armor to take hits, which it seems like he already does and is easily fixed if he doesn’t.

The dude makes plays.

Do the A’s get compensation if he goes the nfl route or do they just hold this rights and hope he comes back to them? Does he have to pay his signing bonus back?

Cool. So list the last 5’9” QB drafted in the first round.

He's not 5'9". He's closer to 5'6"

He'd have to return the signing bonus and the A's get no compensation pick.

I know, but if I said that they’d say I was lying. The figure I was told was actually 5’7” from someone standing next to him. Surely the MLB would’ve measured him though right? You would think the A’s would know his true height if they were going to give him that much money and draft him 9th overall.

I’m sure the A’s know but it doesn’t really matter to them. Mookie Betts just shite all over baseball for a year straight and he’s probably 5 8

I agree that it doesn’t matter in baseball. Just saying I would think he would be listed at his proper height due to the A’s. If he’s 5’11”, then yeah he could be a 1st round pick. Everything I’ve been told from people that have met him is he’s not.

He's clearly not. Just look at this picture. Haskins is listed as 6'3 and Tua at 6'1 and those are both definitely inflated. Tua is about 5'10 in all honesty, and people have been calling him undersized!

Because he said he would play football.

What? No he didn't.

Bo made it very clear that he intended to continue playing baseball. Everybody knew baseball was his favorite sport and teams feared he would quit football altogether to focus on baseball full time. That's why the Buccaneers purposely flew him on their private jet to visit Tampa Bay before the draft because they knew it was an NCAA violation and that he would be suspended for the rest of his senior season of baseball. Tampa hoped that would cause him to turn his full focus to football, but it backfired because Bo isn't dumb and knew they did it on purpose.

But he hated Tampa Bay owners so much he said frick it.

That is the whole reason he hated Tampa Bay and refused to play for them. He had no problem with the Bucs before that.

That story is well documented and corroborated. Yours is just pulled out of your arse

So are we going to have to wait until the combine for his official height?

I doubt the A’s care about releasing his accurate height to the public. There isn’t an official combine for baseball like there is for football. They would have likely brought him in for a physical before he signed and gotten it then.

I would think Haskins is still the 1st QB but that could change with a ridiculous Murray combine. I would still want Haskins but Murray should be off the board in the top 15. I think it was apparent at his size his throwing windows are more difficult and unless you 100% commit to FB it will tough at the next level.

I can’t imagine he would blow scouts away at a combine. Think that would hurt him more than anything since it measures more physical stuff which i believe is more his weakness than what he puts on tape.

He’s gonna have to measure out surprisingly tall and commit to football to have a shot at being a high draft pick. 5’10 would be the cut off. Any shorter than that and teams will be running away
