As a in game bench coach, what is Calipari on a 1-10 scale?

Did he even call a play on that last shot?

You can say he out-recruits, but to be able to get those star players to play his system is fricking incredible. He is the best in the business in its current structure.

I'm thinking about the same. He is pretty bad.

Guy gets 5*s/1 and dones across the board every year. How much coaching do you think is needed?

He's been bad for years. Just living off recruiting.

Probably below average on actually drawing up plays during the game, but beyond his recruiting ability, getting all these young guys with egos to mesh and play hard is a skill that gets underrated.

Just traded text with Johnny Jones (he's disappointed in Atl) but even he said he could draw something up better than that last play (dribble directly to the 3 point line and shoot), and he even beat Calipari

This is silly. Ever dealt with 18 year olds with bad habits formed in AAU and egos? Not the same as what others deal with but still coaching nonetheless.

Ace recruiter, good at developing his team as the season goes on, average in game coach.

He's a recruiter. Everyone knows this.

X and O guy? Probably a 4.

His NBA stint doesn't help his case.

His NBA winning % is .391.
