Army shouldn't even field a team next season. What a suckass 9th inning. fricking plugs.

Too Bad BC couldn't beat them or it would be a different story. I don't think they will win it all anyway.

their pitching will not let that happen. they may not win it all but they will give them a chance. You know, their bats seem to come through when they need them to.

Damn, don't know if I can take much more of this crap. Doctor might advise me to not go back to the Disch for the Supers or I might have a damn heart attack. Always worth it though for a shot at Omaha.

So winning a game in 25 innings and then scoring 8 runs on the bottom of the 9th inning the next game is not luck. If I told you that would have happened, you would have called me nuts.
You are delusional if you don't think Texas had any luck in winning these games.

quote:Well hell, technically luck is involved in every pitch of every game but you are delusional if you are attributing luck and luck alone to absolutely dominating pitching keeping the other team off the scoreboard for 18 innings or pounding out 8 runs with only 1 out in a single inning. Call it great hitting or crappy pitching but luck didn't play any extra roll in either of those circumstances than it did in the rest of the game.

Well you could argue Texas was lucky to ice the BC bats for so many innings, but on the contrary BC was "lucky" to hold the Texas bats so well for 25 innings, but their "luck" just ran out before Texas' did. The luck argument is pretty silly at this point in the season.
Texas is a talented team. They probably wouldn't be catching as much crap if they were the #2 or #3 seed. It comes with the territory of being #1. The target is on your back and everyone is going to want you to fall. We just have to wait and see if they can handle the pressure and live up to the hype.

Yea...maybe we shouldn't field a team.....but we will and they will come at you or any other team with the same intensity the Army team brought to this years Austin regional.....sleep well tonight you spoiled little person...as your freedom is free...mainly cuz of guys that play on "that Army team"..... those guys will be serving in A-stan or Iraq very soon....how bout you holio? Didn't think so. We alumns of a pretty good institution are very proud of the way our boys played....sounded like the folks in Austin felt the same way...

After the celebration from the Grand Slam died down, 7000 plus at the Disch including Texas Players and those in the announcing booth gave the Army team a standing ovation. Despite an unfortunate 9th inning, they had absolutely nothing to be ashamed of this weeked as they outlasted both the #2 & #3 seeds and gave #1 seeded Texas everything they wanted and then some.
