Are the Mavericks legit?

Blowing out LA, and only by a small miracle are they not up 2-0 in the season series against them. They’re 13-6, have the best offense in basketball since the start of November and Luka is the MVP if the season ended today. This will be their 6th win already against a team expected to make the playoffs, several of them in blowout fashion.
All this with Porzingis not playing particularly well as he works his way back. I’ll be honest, I expected a 7-8 seed at best going into the year.

Yes we are legit.
We are a top five team in the league **as of now**. This will probably change if teams can figure out how to slow down Luka, but we are definitely a playoff team.
Whomever draws us in the playoffs will have their hands full.

This Mavs team will only get better as KP gets back into game shape to go for 30 strong minutes/game. Luka is beyond all 20/21 year old players in the association.

You don't have to spin it. Porzingis is just downright bad right now, and the Mavs are still playing very well. If he gets it going, the Mavs are going to be a big problem.

17 and 9 isn’t downright bad.
His shooting is down. His boards are career high. Everything else is in line w his career.
His best per was a 20.4. At the same age Yanni was 26.
