Are people now gonna start respecting FGCU as a legit program?

Shouldn't be hard to recruit to that campus.

Their problem is the rest of their conference.

Gonzaga was a perfect storm, because they are in a conference with some good historical teams, and just some decent programs in general.

Now, Saint Mary's and BYU are perennially pretty good teams.

Gulf Coast's conference will never be that. They'd have to get an invite to some other league.

Are they going to potentially be a tough out? Sure. But can they do that consistently and make enough runs to be the next Gonzaga? Eh, I dunno. Way too early to call.

It would help if they could manage an RPI under 200...
