BC you stated that ULL caused the issues in the basball regional like LSU was innocent in the situation. Tensions were high on both sides as ULL was 3-0 against LSU that year and when Matt Heath taunted the Cajuns after hitting a hr things blew up. Don't act like LSU was innocent here.
As far as softball i heard of some things going on in the stands in 01 and 02 but not to the degree you tried to describe. I think it was just in Girouard's best interest not to play ULL unless she had to and i don't really blame her.

Heath's taunt was retaliation i believe.
Aaron Hill also purposely threw a bat into the ULL dugout i believe which is pretty bush league.

This always makes me laugh. As if Cajun fans and players were the ONLY ones doing all of the taunting and hollering while the LSU baseball team and the 7,000 Tigers fans sat on their hands all game and didn't utter a sound.

I started before the game when the cajun players gathered around the lsu players hitting batting practice and started talking shite.
But the Heath taunt and the Hill bat throw were just as bad imo.

Of course it was unnecessary. But to some people, they did nothing wrong; and it was ALL Cajun players and fans that did everything.

I thought Heath started it with the Taunt then Cajun's pitcher Bair and Coach Robichaux got ejected for throwing at Heath his next at bat. Then Hill got ejected for throwing his bat into the dugout. Its been a long time so i could have it wrong.

These chain of events sound correct. Just add the taunting before the game while lsu was taking BP in the cages and it is correct. From what i recall.

You dont see how someone can just purposely release the bat on their follow through and throw it in the direction of the 3rd base dugout?
