I watch WWE every week and sometimes AEW. Occasionally TNA, only for Joe hendry though.

That was a hell of a card! Kenny vs. Cody should’ve main evented. RIP in peace Marty Scurll.

So ridiculous to this day that it didn't. A majority of the crowd was clearly there for that match alone.

Marty was fun but holy shite that Castle/Scurll match didn't need to go over half an hour

They'll take what they can get tell you what though they put on a DAMN fun show to attend in person.

These days I find it tough to keep up with WWE, even the "PLEs" are only 5-6 matches and have as many commercials as regular TV did. And maybe the TKO acquisition has made things feel even more "corporatized," or maybe I'm just getting older but WWE hasn't felt like it's been trying to cater to my age group lately. I realize how companies have to make money, but it feels like a vehicle for ads more than an actual wrestling promotion now.

AEW isn't a publicly traded company so they have a ton more autonomy for what they can put on their programs, I guess it feels "fresher" in that regard. Also I grew up in the 90s - I want blood, cussing, weapons, and licensed music in my wrestling!

No Surrender 2022 at the Alario Center was the most fun I’ve ever had at a wrestling event, and I’ve been to a lot.

I was front row, Jordynne Grace threw a chair out of the ring and it slid right under the gate and hit my ankle

Damn fun show and the small venue made it even more fun and intimate. And of course got to see Jay White wrestle in person for the first time! The 2024 show was a blast too, hope they come back again soon.

Well if you want people to think that you probably shouldn't have admitted to this:

I'll keep up with WWE but I only watch the PPVs (or "Premium Live Events" as they're called now).

I firmly believe Triple H wants the best for WWE and wants it to be the best it can be. He is very limited by TKO and has apparently already had power struggles with the rock. The "knock" against him not being Vince is Vince always had majority control of the company and wasn't afraid to use it. Triple H might be losing his booking fastball (they all do - looking at you Gedo for putting Evil in the G1 Final), but as far as the overall product goes you can't really put that on him.

Some of us sneak through. You can see me at the ten second mark here absolutely losing my mind jumping up in the front row, next to my girlfriend. She is now my wife and our first kid's due in January

We usually have a Monday Night RAW Thread on the OT on Monday nights. There is a thread for each PLE also. Dynamite and Smackdown threads are semi-regular.

Peej ... looks like some of the PLEs will be on ESPN this year. One on September 20, Crown Jewel on Oct. 11 Survivor Series on Nov. 29. I'm gonna have to watch those the next day or later because WWE seems to not realize that starting this Saturday, Saturdays are for college football.

ESPN link about upcoming WWE shows on ESPN

I remember you asked about this on Monday.

I wish more people were familiar with his stuff before he went to the WWF. Him turning heel on JYD was COLD.

You should watch the Flair-Dibiase double turn in Mid South November 85. I think it’s on YouTube. Amazing television

Jim Crockett Promotions in the 1980's was the peak of professional wrestling imo.
