When you hear about computers beating grandmasters those are supercomputers. With any kind of reasonable time parameters desktops aren't even competitive with grandmasters. For a normal player cheating online is easy but grandmasters cheating this way in live action seems high risk for middling reward.

While this is true to a certain extent, there are versions of the newest version of stockfish that can be accessed and used by anyone to analyze positions. The newest stockfish is rated like 3600-3800 ELO where as Magnus the highest rated ELO at 2856 currently and His peak rating was 2882 which is the highest ever rating by a human. Any human super GM would get embarrassed by stockfish engines that operate online.

vibrating anal beads but for real just Hikaru and Magnus being little bitches like normal

Except it’s not just Magnus and Hikaru. Chess.com, Caruana, Nepo, Levon and several of the other top players. These guys have played thousands upon thousands of games in their lifetime. They know when something doesn’t pass the smell test.

It’s not like accuses every sub 2750 that beats him. Hell he lost to 16 year old Prag and then again I think when Prag was 17. But they have known Prag was coming to challenge the greats since he was like 11 years old probably well before that.
