Drew Brees is the greatest football player of all time, no debate

I'm old enough where I saw all of Dan's career. A hell of a QB with impressive stats, but it's always no Super Bowl when evaluating his career and comparing him with the likes of Montana, Elway, Bradshaw, and Brady.

How many Super Bowl rings does Marino have?

0. What's your point? Terry Bradshaw has 4 and he's not even in the top 20 of all-time quarterbacks.

Peyton is one of my favorite non-Saints in the NFL.

Yeah but I learned a long time ago, its a lot smarter to be an observer of these threads instead of a fighter in one

I believe one of my first big arguments on here was a Brady vs Manning thread with tduecen. It was a lot of work and anger that got nowhere. Everyone has their opinion on it and they are all stubborn as a mule on it (myself included) so its not worth the effort

I dont think Brady is the GOAT btw. Joe Montana is #1 imo

Exactly. Trent Dilfer has one. It is a team sport. You cannot judge an individual on super bowls. Brady had 3 super bowls when he had a top 5 defense and was a shadow of how himself today. Since he got really good, they have zero super bowl victories. Is that Brady's fault? No. He cannot play defense, special teams, run, block, catch, etc. I hate the "championships" argument. It incredibly lazy.

Yeah there are 3 facets to the game of football and quarterbacks are only part of one of them. They don't play defense and they don't play special teams. They can't control that crap.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Kemosabe.

Eli has more skills than that. Dude actually makes plays.

It's getting so ridiculous that Eli is becoming under rated...

By who? He's not a top 4 guy. He's been between 5 and 12 since his second season.

Outside of Louisiana, many people agree with this sentiment that Brady and Manning are head and shoulders above everyone else. Rodgers and Brees are definitely in the conversation, but they haven't done it long enough or been consistently successful enough, respectfully.

Pretty much everyone knows that Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL. I'm sure some in Massachusetts and Louisiana will foolishly argue otherwise, but homer opinions can't be taken seriously.

Yes. Are you basing that on one good season?
