28.1 ppg
12.4 reb
2.8 bpg
1.7 spg
4.7 ast
50.2% fg

Leads an offensive league in PER

The only player to average 27 pts 12 rebs and 4 asts with 2.5 blks in a season was Kareem. He did it twice and won MVP both times.

Wins are an issue of sorts, but the Pels are 4.5 back of the one seed in a Western Conf. that has seen more parity than maybe ever before. And AD missed 4 of the 30 games played by the Pels, which is also the most games played in the league by any team at this point.

Fear the Brow.

62% ts

If he and Brees win it the city will go nuts!!! Have two players in the same city ever won MVP in the same year?

Can a NOLA sports fan talk about the Pels without mentioning the Saints?

Also, OP, don’t tell Pels talk this.

Technically one was 2017 and other was 2018. I’m a fan of both but technically this doesn’t fit.

True, but both seasons started in 2017. 2017 season for Altuve and 2017-18 season for Harden. They won their awards like 6 months apart.

But I guess technically it wasn't in the "same year".

Anthony Davis ALWAYS has MVP seasons he's that great a player but I understand how fricked up the NBA MVP voting can be and how theres no bright line criteria to meet so some players fall through the cracks I mean hell LeGOAT James hasn't won MVP since he was with the Heat and he's remained the best player in basketball in the years since, makes no sense bro

He’s going to win it soon, when he plays in a real team, in a real city, LA.

AD almost always has the numbers. He always has. The intangibles really really hurt him. Ie lack of leadership and lack of dog in him that lead to sub 50 win seasons. You ain’t gonna win MVP on a 6 seed 47 win team. The Westbrook mvp was laughable looking back on it Now.

I don't really disagree with you, but the assist jump is new in terms of numbers.

He needs a top 4 seed to have a chance, and with the way things are now a 48 win season might get it.
