Like the people that bomb Astros threads.

"THE ASTROS SUCK HURR DURRR"

You don't say? Can we not talk about them because they suck? Is that the end of the conversation?

Well, you are PJ-ing up the thread.

I have commented in a grand total of two Angels threads.

I agree, but there is no reason to ruin every Angels thread.

All 2 of the ones I've been in.

When I did say Hanson was an ace? I think he will rebound and be a respectable two or three. Weaver was the ace of the staff, but I had a lot of worries about him before the season (obviously, this elbow injury is more of a freak thing).

Maybe you didn't, but Gyno, Lester, and I thought you all were on me about how stupid it was for the Braves to "give up" on Hanson because he's a "young ace in the making" and was a top prospect.

There has only been 2 since the start of the season....
The Hamilton one and this one, so your batting 2 for 2 so far

Well how about that.

I've ruined two of the hundreds of thousands of posts on the MSB in the past week. Pretty nifty percentage.

So if Hanson win 13 games with a 4.12 ERA and Hamilton hit .270/.340/.560 with 40 bombs and 160 strikeouts.... does the past off season matter?

Who would then be right? Both sides?

I don't really see how this could be celebrated. And wins don't mean anything to me for pitchers.

Be a pretty nice year for him.

My opinion is that the Angels weren't all that great as constructed, with particularly weak pitching. Their best player is Trout, and their other two big bats are already in decline (though both should still be fairly productive because they were great hitters).

I didn't see how any of their moves made them any better than last year.

Way too early to tell any of this, but losing their best (really the only great) pitcher they have sure doesn't help.

The main thing is their bullpen. With Weaver out, they are going to have to rely on a weak bullpen that is more than likely going to be used a lot in the next month.

Dan, i dont mind if you rub anything in my face for being wrong.

But 1) at least portray my argument in a factual manner & 2)give it more than 1 week before you start talking shite.

Just having a little fun, Lester.

Not sure what I said that isn't factual. You guys said over and over that Hanson was a "top prospect" and used to be "no. 1 material" and shite like that.

I think our main argument was that as a #3 SP, he is pretty damn solid.

Love all the hate.

Sucks that Weaver is out, but Richards has been solid. I think the bullpen will be fine.

And for god's sake people need to stop going crazy after 1 week of the season. 6 games have been played.

Sounds like the narrative I heard a lot last year..."it's early".

The fact is that the same deficiencies still exist as last year. Half of the rotation is mediocre and the bullpen sucks.

Well yea, Nelson Cruz & berkman haven't missed their standard 40 games yet. So it is still early.
