Going to be a long while. They just signed new deals with their domestic cable and streaming partners about 9 months ago, that runs for a decade.

Shows you what I know. I thought they did the ABC/ESPN/etc deal a few years ago

Saying this is the same thing as saying 'I am a conspiracy theorist by nature'.
There's no distinction to be made-- if you jump to a conspiracy as the most plausible explanation of the outcome, then yeah, you are a conspiracy theorist.
Not at all. I’m saying I generally believe there is a logical explanation for everything. But when a lot of “coincidences” start to line up logical thinkers start to wonder “are these actually just coincidences?”
Dallas makes an unexpected and, by every account, completely illogical trade to maybe the league’s most marquee franchise whose HOF player is in the twilight of his career. It was such a bad trade that even the guy who broke the story didn’t initially believe it. One made even more illogical by the fact that the Dallas GM seemed to only offer him to one team, despite knowing a bidding war could have probably netted Dallas a significantly better return…even from the Lakers.
Then, Dallas, who has a minuscule chance of getting the No. 1 pick, does so at a time where the consensus No. 1 prospect is seen as one of the better prospects in the last 15 years or so.
Could it all be coincidence? Absolutely. But there is enough here to ask least wonder if Dallas winning the lottery is fully just incredible and timely “great luck”?

This is the absolute crux of it; this is nowhere near a *lot* of coincidences.
You could have this outcome repeat itself again with 5 more identical unlikely outcomes in the next 40 years of lotteries, and it would still not be enough to register.
This just reveals who is bad at math, really.

Why did you think Inside the NBA was still on the air for a last season on TNT?

The problem is you are just looking at one aspect of the argument. Dallas winning the lottery, though unlikely, can be explained as a statistical anomaly.
But what are the odds of that outcome presenting itself again in the exact same season involving the team that made the most illogical trade in league history?

The NBA could stop any of these conspiracy theories by airing the ping pong balls live you know like the Powerball lottery does.

It’s absolutely rigged. The majority of people will fall for anything because they like to believe multi billion dollar companies aren’t corrupt in the least
This was just blatantly in your face and was enough to send NBA into the WWE realm for me. Won’t bother vesting any more interest in the Wiz.

Nothing that unusual. Less likely outcomes happen every day that you take as an absolute matter of course-- but because it involves something where you feel a level of investment, it feels like a conspiracy.

And for those who ask why they don't televise the ping pong ball process?
Because its not as captivating, and it starts by revealing the first pick.
They do, however, video it and post it on the internet.
