I'm a Chargers' fan and even I can't stand his bitchy attitude.
He's a great QB but about the last person I'd ever want to have to have any encounter with outside of watching him play a ball game.

I hate it to hell we have him instead of Brees and have from day one.

This is the reason I hate him. He's cocky, arrogant and a whiney bitch. No doubt he can play...he just comes across as a douche.

Well I've actually met him & have nothing bad to say about the experience.

you're the 18th million person to say this. What, specifically, has he done to be a whiney bitch? or cocky? or arrogant? or a douche?

Not that I'm a fan of his or anything, but it jsut seems like the next popular thing for people to hate.

I've though his on-field and interview personality since day one in San Diego has been arrogant in a immature way instead of merely over confident. It's just how all his coments, gestures, really everything strike me and a LOT of other people. Nothing recent. He's actually better now than a couple years ago.

Seriously? Have you not watched him during the games? Watch his mannerisms on the sideline...on the field. If that isn't enough for you, then there's no more I can say to convince you otherwise. Specifically, the early season game at Kansas City, he acted like he was 14.

See what you want to see I guess. I saw a fiery QB who wasn't happy with the way his team was playing, and he was trying to light a fire under their arse. It's what a vocal leader does. Tom Brady went off on his offense on the sidelines a couple weeks ago. Where are all the cries about him being some giant douche licking rainbow dragon rider?

Since I moved from San Diego in 2001, I really a haven't been that great of a fan. To be honest, the combination of Rivers, Merriman and a few other players have kind of doused my enthusiasm.

I used to live in North Park and could actually watch the games with binoculars from the roof of my house.

There's certain guys whose way of carrying themselves turns 9/10 people off unless they have a vested interest. A good example is Saban. Most casual observers think he's being a jerk in interviews whereas fans see it as fiery competitiveness.
Rivers just obviously turns a lot of people off.

You've got a point, but I'm not sure how that makes him a whiney bitch & arrogant. Most of the 9/10 are people that are looking for a reason not to like him.

In my opinion, there's a definite difference in the way Brady was leading versus how Rivers was doing it. But, like you said, "see what you want to see."

Philip Rivers may be a total a-hole, or he may be a nice guy -- I have no idea.

But you can't seriously believe fronting for a tax write-off charity and taking a few PR photos makes him a saint. Can you?

It does make for good TV. That Rivers vs. Cutler show was pretty hilarious.

Just sucks, imo, if he's on your team and not your rival.

Nope. I just thought I'd post it. Like I said though, I've had the opportunity to meet the guy in person & to me he seemed like a great guy.
