who beat fedor down? We're reaching now huh guys? Yeah Fujita had him hurt- for 2 seconds then he ended Fujita immediately. Same for Randleman.

but he was in trouble, that's why i said to a lesser degree, much should have been included. no one takes the beat down pre win like nog.

well...beat down is a poor choice of words but Coleman was hurting him until Fedor caught him in an armbar. that's Fedor's bread and butter.

yeah, nog has had that happen a LOT. Sapp, Cro Cop, Sylvia, etc. Not that SYlvia was killing him but he was clearly gonna lose. But i mean Fedor gets in a "bad" spot for 20 seconds and flips it to end the fight RIGHT THERE, thats pretty much why he is the greatest. He cranks it up. Coleman, Randleman, Fujita, Hunt, etc. Nog gets killed for 2 2/3 rounds then gets a sub.

with fedor, sometimes it seems like he doesn't come alive until he gets in trouble. there was a local fighter in ATL that was pretty notorious for that.

It appears the Affliction fights on Fox Sports Net won't be shown in BR until mid-night because of the Astros game.

So much of the MMA game at the top levels is about strategy and execution in the ring, not beating someone's arse.

Fedor (and to a lesser extent Coutre) have become master's of putting together a plan and executing it. Of course Fedor can go toe to toe and throw bombs when he needs to, but it is all dictated by need with him.

i've seen fedor get beat down only to pull off an sub.

Only fight I have seen Fedor really struggle taking a beating was Arona. Arona was simply stronger than Fedor with just as good a ground game at the time. I can garantee you too, a lot of the reason Arona overpowered Fedor so badly in that fight were anabolics.
