The fact that some of you think this is a "I'll have my opinion, you have yours" issue is troubling. Only one side in this issue is trying to deny equal treatment under the law for all. Not exactly a "what's your favorite color?" type situation.

Again I don't see where Peterson said anything wrong. He said what he believed. There are respectable people on both sides of this argument who aren't going to hold any ill will against those on the other side. I am against same sex marriage but I don't hate gay people at all. I think most people against gay marriage feel the same way.

it wouldn't be very hard to adjust deep south education statistics to account for the demographic that is most likely to be active on a sports message board ....

Again...where did Adrian Peterson say he's trying to deny anything to anyone. I don't see the guy lobbying against gay marriage or taking an active interest at all in the matter. He answered with his personal feelings on an issue when asked about it by a reporter/host...he answered truthfully. Good for him.

He said he was against gay marriage. By definition this means he is in favor of denying equal treatment under the law for both heterosexual and homosexual couples.
