Condon wants both in the contract, so its all on Bosas camp
Source? Everything I've read is that Bosa is fine with one or the other, without a preference on which one.

The Chargers dont have the cash to pay him his entire bonus with the amount of money they have to spend on a the new stadium issue
A NFL team has plenty of money to shell out an extra $8 million. Don't be that gullible.
The Chargers are just getting exposed as being cheap. You can't say you've wanted this guy for 3 years, take him 3rd overall, and then not be willing to give him what every 3rd overall pick has received since 2012.

Bosa is forced to play for the team that drafts him, and forced to sign a contract that is pre determined by the league,
Poor guy, only allowed to make a few million dollars a year in one of the nicest cities in the country. The humanity of it all!

Last year the story was Lael was going to sit out the year and refuse to sign anywhere to re enter the draft, but the NFL told them they would not allow him to re enter the draft the next season.
He had that option, what he wanted and the NFL refused was to pull out of the draft and re enter the supplemental draft a couple of months later.

What new stadium issues have they spent money on besides blueprint and designs?

Mariota didnt get what he wanted
Bosa needs to just sign. Instead his dad is scared he might follow his footsteps

Well your boy Nick is wrong. LINK

What does all this mean? Simply put, it means that while it may not be the "Chargers way" to negotiate the offset language or the timing of the signing bonus, it is how the league conducts its business with its top five picks. This really makes how they go about their business irrelevant and makes them look petty.
And now the kicker...Joey's camp has reportedly been very upfront about their willingness to compromise on these points by settling for one or the other. And they have communicated this stance since May. They aren't, as some has reported, holding out for both. Much to the contrary, it's pretty clear the offset language would become a non-issue if the team would just give some ground on the bonus.

Have them invest his signing bonus then.
