The other reason they went to 7 in Bama is the difference between the largest and smallest school in 6a was larger than the gap between the largest 5a school to the smallest 1a.
Not sure why they added a 7 instead of adjusting down, but that became an issue

So a Middle Schooler is playing Varsity High School football?

How many States allow this?

He's not in High School.

Is it unique to weird private K-12 schools?

That's incredibly impressive. I don't even know if I've heard of 8th graders playing varsity football. Not only that, but to compete as a starter on a team that won a state title.

Wow. He's about to be able to pick from any school in the nation. Here's to hoping he doesn't go to Bama.

He’s the 3rd string QB. Injuries decimated the position.
