I am such there will be a strong DS flavor at the game. The Higgins Band isn't even playing, So the Denham Band has the floor to itself.

I am not making this trip, so I will have to settle For Jon Fine and his amazing ability to call a football game.

I cannot do it sir. I know exactly what a Fullhouse backfield is, and I know what a triple option is, but WTF is a triple house backfield?

Higgns is so overrated, but I don't know anything about DS, so it could go either way.

Good Analysis Supah. I do think ESJ may just win tonight, they've made some changes on defense since coach Doe was let go and it looked better last week against Hahnville, especially against the run. The ESJ defensive weakness is against the pass and I don't think that is one of the Rams strong suits. Will be a good game.

One interesting thing to see tonight with Hahnville is how they will rebound from the ESJ loss but also how they deal with the death last night of one of the younger players. He died from a gunshot wound; not sure if it was suicide or an accident still too many rumours going around to know. The school cancelled the pep rally for today and has councilors talking to students today. Please keep the young man and his family in your prayers.

If Acadiana is clicking on offense, ESJ will never have the ball. Acadiana's veer takes 4 yards at a time and shortens the game. Then Eugene busts a few long ones on the dive and you are playing from behind.

ESJ's coach is named Ronald Barrilleaux. He's been at ESJ for the past 9 years. He is much more of a disciplinarian than Dautrieve was and the kids respect him.

thanks for the info

this is a typical Acadiana game:

they will try to grind you up with long drives and take yardage at 4 yds a pop and shorten up the game

you wont have the ball, so when you do have the ball your offense tends to press which leads to 3 and outs

eventually your defense gets worn down

Eugene breaks a few long runs off the dive and now you are really behind and running out of time

you lose

Acadiana is not a good passing team and they don't defend the pass very well. Because they usually don't have to do either to win.

STM beat them by being extremely disciplined, and trying to stop Eugene on the dive. He still had an 85yd TD run off of a dive. STM blocked an AHS punt that gave STM a short field and AHS was taken out of their game plan and had to play from behind themselves because STM pounded them with the running game which set up their passing.

That being said AHS still had almost 400 yds rushing vs STM and Eugene had 225 yds and 2 TDS in a game they lost 42-17
