Yea. Only way I can see it not helping is if its a meh team that you already beat from the other division. Like if an 8-4 team wins the other division.

No. I was responding to the guy wondering why the lack of a conference game could enhance the strength of schedule. Since the Big 12 does a round-robin schedule, I'd say the winner would likely have a similar SOS as the winner of any of the other power 5 conferences.
